Who we are and are not
Compromint is a software company. We are not a law firm, an accounting firm, or a government agency, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Internal Revenue Service or any state tax authority.
Information, not advice
The analysis on this site applies published IRS collection criteria and Collection Financial Standards to figures you enter. It is software output. It is not tax advice, legal advice, or a recommendation, and no licensed professional has reviewed it unless a page says so by name, credential, and date. Selecting among collection alternatives, setting an offer amount, and deciding whether to challenge an assessment are judgments only a licensed professional can make for you.
No representation, no filing
Nothing is filed with or sent to the IRS from this site. We hold no power of attorney and do not contact the IRS on your behalf. You remain responsible for every deadline and communication with the IRS.
Deadlines
Where a date is shown, it is a published rule applied to a date you typed. The date printed on your IRS notice is the only one that controls. Missing certain IRS deadlines forfeits rights that cannot be recovered. Read the notice.
No guaranteed outcomes
The IRS independently verifies documents and recomputes figures, and frequently reaches a different result. We do not and cannot guarantee acceptance of any payment plan, offer, or status. We do not describe results as typical because we do not yet have results to describe.
Known limits of the calculation
Several rule constants are awaiting confirmation by a licensed tax professional; the results page says so when they affect your numbers, and nothing is sold on such an analysis. Our published-standards data does not yet cover every county; where it is missing, the page says so and the numbers are provisional. Every results page lists what the calculation deliberately leaves out.
Fees
The diagnostic is free and complete. Nothing is for sale on this site today. If and when a prepared package or a professional review is offered, the price will be a flat, stated amount shown before you decide, never a percentage of any savings, and never quoted or taken by telephone.
Your information
Figures you enter are sent to our server to run the calculation and returned to your browser; they are not stored against any identity. A photographed notice is read in your browser and is not uploaded. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on pages where you enter financial information. See the privacy notice.
